Fences, a new shed, a pool, landscaping, even a mailbox — Before You Dig Australia lists all of them as reasons to lodge an enquiry, and the service costs nothing. Do it. Walk any overhead run on your block once and pick your access route deliberately. It is a five-minute job that decides where a truck can and cannot tip.

Every pump on the place

A submersible pump has to be the earthed type or twelve volts. There is no third option

Houses here average 4 bedrooms and 3.3 people, on blocks that usually come with more water than a suburban lot: a tank and pressure pump, sometimes a bore, a dam, a pool.
